PEAL celebrates City and Guilds accreditation with successful
candidates

On Friday 26th September 2008, over 20 successful candidates
joined their assessors and the PEAL team in celebrating their
success at obtaining their accreditation for the PEAL
training. Candidates undertook the training between September
2007 and March 2008 and worked on their portfolios until the final
submission date in June this year.
“This event further highlights the value of
encouraging and developing parental involvement in children's early
learning,” said Keith Phillips Associate Lead Trainer of the PEAL
Project, “and we are delighted to welcome recipients from across
the country to celebrate their achievements.”

The afternoon started with a lunch and informal gathering, which
then lead to group discussions and the presentation of the
certificates.
The certificates were presented to the successful candidates by
Dwynwen Stepien, Director of the Early Childhood Unit at the
National Children's Bureau.

Before candidates were presented with their certificates, they
were encouraged to participate in group discussions along with
assessors, to explore how Unit 16 supported learning and
contributed to best practice.
Notes from one of the discussions can be found
