Capita's sixth national Safeguarding Children Conference will be
held on Tuesday 29 April in London, and chaired by Wes Cuell,
Director of Services for Children and Young People at
the NSPCC.
Morning plenary sessions include the implementation of the
Independent Safeguarding Authority, developments to ContactPoint
and future initiatives from the DCSF. Delegates then have the
opportunity to listen to the views of children and young people
themselves on the safeguarding agenda, and to learn from across the
borders about promoting collaboration between neighbouring
LSCB’s.
Stream sessions focus on current issues including safer
recruitment and allegations, police action to tackle child abuse
and confronting hidden child abuse. Take the opportunity to engage
with stakeholders across the sector to find out more about specific
issues important to your role and organisation – be it in
education, the police, local government or the voluntary, community
or private sector.
