PEAL Training And Practice Development 2012-13

PEAL supports all those who work in children's centres, early years settings and services to work effectively with parents to enhance children's early learning and development. A range of practice development options is available for practitioners and those in strategic roles.

We also offer Family Foundations, a new five-day accredited course with PEAL at its heart.

PEAL Options:

Option 1

A one day event, facilitated by one PEAL trainer (plus one day preparation).
Cost:  £2,500

Who is it for?
This option is suitable for all practitioners. It can be organised flexibly, with practitioners from a range of settings and services, and some advisors/managers in the same group. Experiencing the training together in this way gives an opportunity for joint reflection on the needs of centres and communities, and enables planning for future action and support.

A PEAL resource pack is available for each participant.

Ideal participant numbers:  14-20

Accreditation
Participants can seek accreditation for a City & Guilds qualification upon submission of a portfolio. PEAL is a unit (311 Work with parents to engage them in their children's early learning) of the Level 3 Work with Parents Award (3599). Further units can be undertaken to achieve the whole award. Read more...
